With the increasing global demand for clean energy, the Chinese government and industry chain are actively promoting new energy projects, particularly the development of photovoltaic power generation. As one of the major bases of China's photovoltaic industry, Jiangsu Province has a large number of photovoltaic panels installed on agricultural facilities, industrial factory roofs, and abandoned land. While generating clean energy supply, it has also gradually become aware of the importance of photovoltaic panel cleaning and maintenance for energy generation efficiency. The customer's energy storage station is located in a city in Jiangsu Province, with hundreds of photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the entire building. After prolonged use and without timely cleaning, the surface is prone to accumulating pollutants such as dust, sand, and bird droppings, which seriously affect power generation efficiency and may cause further damage to the photovoltaic panels over time. Therefore, regular, efficient, and safe cleaning work is crucial for the customer.   

• High Labor Intensity, Low Efficiency: Manual cleaning requires long hours of physical labor, especially in large-area photovoltaic panel sites, where efficiency is extremely low.

• High Costs: A large amount of labor is required for cleaning, and high-risk subsidies need to be paid, increasing operating costs.

• Unstable Cleaning Quality: Manual operation makes it difficult to ensure consistent cleaning quality for each photovoltaic panel, which may result in some photovoltaic panels still being covered by pollutants, affecting overall power generation efficiency. Some photovoltaic panel installation locations are difficult to reach, and manual operations are difficult to complete cleaning.

• Safety Risks: High-altitude operations have high safety risks, especially in windy, rainy, or high-temperature environments, which can easily cause accidents.

Solution

To overcome these challenges, the customer decided to adopt an aerial cleaning solution centered on the Wisson Technology AP30-P2 Aerial High-pressure Cleaning System. The Wisson team initially used drones to conduct overall photography and analysis of the photovoltaic panels' dirt conditions. Due to the short service life of the photovoltaic panels, the high-pressure system combined with water can effectively remove dirt, and this cleaning solution does not require the use of detergents, which dispelled customer concerns.
