The Pearl River International Entrepreneurship Center, located in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, is a new landmark in the Guangzhou Eastern Development Zone, integrating business, leisure, entertainment, shopping, and relaxation. It is operated by a leading domestic integrated commercial company. The operating company's business covers major first- and second-tier cities nationwide, with over 100 commercial real estate projects, and its management segments include commercial complexes, office buildings, industrial complexes, and hotels & serviced apartments. In recent years, the company has continuously improved its service quality and significantly reduced costs by continuously conducting technological research and innovation, and utilizing digital and intelligent means to provide more intensive and efficient services.

In terms of building facade cleaning and maintenance, the company has always faced a huge workload, investing a lot of manpower and financial resources every year, but still facing bottlenecks such as low efficiency, high costs, and high safety risks. To completely change the traditional service model, improve service quality, significantly reduce costs, and eliminate work risks, the group adopted the Wisson AP3-P3 Pliabot® AerialTethered Cleaning System for high-rise building facade cleaning, and recently successfully completed the cleaning of nearly 20,000 square meters of glass curtain wall at the Pearl River International Entrepreneurship Center.



The building's facade is a glass curtain wall. Aerial drone photography revealed that the main dirt on the curtain wall was dust and calcified water stains. In response to the dirt, the team used the Wisson AP3-P3 Pliabot® Aerial Tethered Cleaning System, combined with clean water and professional foam cleaners, to carry out efficient, safe, and full-coverage cleaning operations on the building's facade. The cleaning effect met expectations and passed acceptance, and the effects of high efficiency, cost reduction, and intelligent upgrading were significant:


Doubled Efficiency, Significantly Reduced Costs
The AP3-P3 supports uninterrupted water supply operations, adapts to a variety of detergents, and has a maximum pressure of 30MPa, which can effectively handle a variety of glass curtain wall dust and other stains. The operating efficiency is several times higher than traditional manual operations, and the operating cost is significantly lower than manual and large machine systems.
In this cleaning operation, a 3-person team using the AP3-P3 Pliabot® Aerial Tethered Cleaning System (one pilot, one observer, and one safety officer) efficiently completed nearly 20,000 square meters of glass curtain wall cleaning in 8 days, working 7.5 hours per day, and the cleaning effect fully met the customer's requirements. In contrast, a traditional "spider-man" 2-person team (one safety assistant and one cleaner), using the most common cleaning standard (wiping), can clean up to 10,000 square meters in a week. That is to say, the task that a traditional "spider-man" team needs at least 2 weeks to complete can be completed by the Wisson AP3-P3 in just 8 days, almost doubling the efficiency.

In addition, in terms of operating costs, the AP3-P3 cleaning system, due to the significant increase in efficiency, directly drove a significant decrease in personnel wage expenditures, and further reduced expenses in personnel insurance, equipment wear, and other aspects, significantly reducing overall operating costs.


Pliabot® Technology for Full-Domain Safety
First, unmanned high-altitude operations completely eliminate the safety hazards of personnel high-altitude operations. In addition, with the support of Pliabot® technology, the AP3-P3 system is exclusively equipped with a flexible gimbal, which uses adaptive balance and flexible contact to adaptively eliminate the swing generated by lateral operations and effectively resist the recoil and flight interference after spraying. At the same time, the small machine type superimposed with flexible gimbal force deformation and emergency protection (blade protection, abnormal decoupling) can ensure the safety of equipment, buildings, and personnel in extreme cases.

In contrast, ordinary cleaning drones lack corresponding active safety design during operations and are easily interfered by external factors such as wind and airflow, affecting flight safety and operation quality. In extreme cases, due to their own structure and the commonly used rigid material design, once a cleaning drone has a collision accident, it will not only damage the drone itself but also damage buildings, especially glass curtain walls.


Comprehensive Cleaning Without Dead Corners

In this cleaning operation, there were many partitions on the building's facade, with a large number of tricky dead corners. The AP3-P3, adapted to small machines, is compact and flexible, and can achieve a minimum close-range spraying distance of 0.2 meters during operation, efficiently cleaning. At the same time, the Pliabot® gimbal supports hovering state +20~-40° pitch cleaning, which can easily cover multiple surfaces and angles, comprehensively cleaning without dead corners.
